Dr Sheharyar Ashraf is an experienced General Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centred care for individuals and families. He is committed to delivering evidence-based healthcare with a strong focus on preventative health, chronic disease management and supporting patients through every stage of life.

After graduating from medical school in Pakistan in 2009, Dr Ashraf worked as a General Practitioner for four years before relocating to North Queensland. He joined Riverway Medical Centre in 2014 and has since built strong, long-term relationships with his patients through his approachable and collaborative style of care. As a trusted Family GP, his clinical interests include mental health, men's health, geriatric medicine, skin checks and skin cancer management, health assessments, preventative medicine and the ongoing management of chronic illness.

Dr Ashraf has a particular interest in caring for older members of the community and regularly provides home visits for eligible elderly patients, as well as visiting Residential Aged Care facilities. He values continuity of care and works closely with patients to support their long-term health, independence and wellbeing. Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing sport and travelling throughout Australia. Dr Ashraf is fluent in English, Urdu and Hindi.
